Fall Haul
Seasonal decor doesn’t have to be tacky, or collect dust in the “off season.” Here are some ideas for incorporating autumnal accents in your home… with a dwellness twist of course!
Crystal Grids for Fall
I love rotating out different crystals throughout the year, and displaying them in groups depending on my mood, or an event/theme. For fall, focus on displaying crystals that remind you of falling leaves, crackling fires, pumpkins and apple cider.
The root chakra is symbolized by the color red and represents feeling grounded and sheltered. As we transition out of the playfulness of summer, it’s important to channel this particular chakra as we spend more time indoors in our homes. Some great root chakra crystals you could use in an autumn grid are carnelian, garnet, tourmaline and tiger’s eye.
The sacral chakra is symbolized by the color orange and represents sensuality and creativity. This is another important chakra to clear with crystals so that you’re feeling a deeper connection between your mind and body. Try working with citrine, or carnelian and tiger’s eye (also associated with root).
Burn Baby Burn
Incorporating candles in your home decor seems like a no-brainer during fall… especially when there are so many enticing seasonal scents! The best rooms to burn a candle, according to Feng Shui, are the bedroom, bathroom and living room. The element of fire is also best utilized in the Northeast and Southwest areas of your home.
Here are some of my favorite candles for fall:
If you’re looking to set an intention with your candle work, try one of the ideas below:
ATTAIN ATTENTION:
Place nine (9) red candles in the center portion of the far side of your home. Light the candles once a day during the daylight hours to influence attention and support from others.
GAIN GOALS:
Have a fireplace? Grab a candle (or several candles) whose color is appropriate for the location of your fireplace and light at least once a week to help to discover a new sense of purpose.
PRODUCE PASSION:
Place two (2) red candles in the far right corner of your home, as well as your bedroom. Make sure they're placed side-by-side to influence intimacy. Light these candles twice every day.
If you’re looking to get into the spirit of the season, but don’t want to invest in decor that is too cheesy or niche, here are some fun items that will turn up the cozy fall vibes in your home.

Whether or not you celebrate the autumn equinox, love to dress up everything (including yourself) for Halloween, or despise all things “commercial,” fall is a time for gratitude. You can reflect on the year so far, and the year ahead. I love to listen to guided meditations in the morning as I’m having coffee or in the car, and this month I’m focusing on the theme of GRATITUDE. Check out my Spotify playlist if you’d like to listen to some of my favorite guided meditations on the subject. They range in length and tone, so look around and hopefully you’ll connect with one.
